BREAST BUDDIES BUSTING CANCER FUNDRAISING

I have been involved with Nipawin "BREAST BUDDIES BUSTING CANCER" Relay for life team for 2 years. In that time the team has raised $21,000 for Cancer research. Unfortunately with the demands of working out of town and by commitment to my family. I have chose to not continue to be an active team member. I will most defineately celebrate their successes for future fundraising efforts!
Way to go girls!

I walked for my dear friend Frances Balog

A day with my Lexi

Don't cha love Lexi's jambos?

My little friend Lex came to visit me and she was just dying to get into the studio. Once we got there after bracelet making in the living room, we were stumped! What to do? So we pulled out the ole' sculpy and started creating some dolphins! The directions on the label said to bake at 350 for 10 minutes but I guess antee Jan got a little distracted. I had a really good excuse, we were ordering lunch and my timer really needs to be a little bit louder... anyways lets just say our creations looked as if they were eating some chocolate cake batter! (that was our story and we are sticking to it!)

blast from the past

I bet you are wondering why I named the blog ala'gator great creator... well it was the name of my children's birthday party planning business. Way back when I was a clown named BLUEBERRY.  I loved planning my kids parties and to entertain children, so i woke up one morning and decided to start the company. I wanted the company to sound fun and to start with the letter "A"  as an easy find under the party planning section in the phone book (sneaky hey?)
so..... ala' gator great creator was born!
the name seems a little ridiculous now,
but it has sentimental value and it is a reminder of
 the wonderful memories i made!

ps i even got famous enough to make it into TODAYS PARENT!

hollywood designer bags costume

Nipawin goes Hollywood for the BREAST BUDDIES BUSTING CANCER ladies night out!
I am not a Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie or Julia Roberts. I am more so like Roseann Barr (Arnold), perhaps a Rosie O'Donnell, so a stunning sleeveless, sequin number is not calling my name. I needed a costume, something simple and fun! So what could be more Hollywood than being a designer "BAG!" My best friend Sheila wore animal print and I wore the "etalocohC, Chocolate" Very easily made from recycled cardboard, fabric and glue and a little imagination and PRESTO a costume as an over sized accessory! It had elastic bands around back to hold it up and on. I could simply put it on or off as I chose. We wore black clothes, feather Boas and huge Willy Wonka sunglasses!  Mission accomplished! The evening was a success! $4,000 raised for our Relay for life team!
