The Pantry offer has been taken up on.... Connie has given me full access to her pantry! whoo hoo! so I will be posting some before and after pics real soon!!!
Yup, I am a self proclaimed label fanatic! I have my cupboards labelled and my staples and baking supplies all scrap booked and matching! Mine have been done for a long time and this blog is for new projects. So the first one to respond to this gets some scrap booked labels for your pantry to look spiffy! Since I have not had alot of comments on this blog. I am suspecting that I won't have to worry about having too many responding! Let see what happens!
let's learn to, cardmake, take a great photo, paint, sculpt, fold napkins, try our hand in calligraphy, bake up some scrumpious cookies, fold orgami, stamp something, decorate a room, really learn to love to laugh, embellish cupcakes, share cool finds, make that tried and tested recipes, succeed at soapmaking, organize that something, pick a party theme, sew n' embroider, and encourage eachother to live our lives creative together! come join in it will be fun!

been buzy
I think sometimes we spend so much time and energy on something only to find out that what we are doing is just POINTLESS so.... "Never try to teach a pig to sing... it will just waste your time and annoy the pig!"

is change good?
i love change. it has taken me 39 years to realize that i really can't keep anything the same. is this a fault? i can't decide.change is good, but is what i do too much? i ponder this revelation as i will grunt and groan, drag and scrape my bedroom furniture all around to which it will give me a new perspective, provoke a smile and that for NOW i have created a new surrounding!

UPDATE OF Cinderella may be jealous!
I am happy to report my husband's fear of my slippers shorting out and starting a fire as I drove did not happen. These slippers were not the dream that came true for me. So for now, I will simply put on an extra pair of socks, be a little bit un happy that my fairy godmother let me down and I will "suck it up princess!"

RUBBER DUCKY'S BIRTHDAY TODAY!
Just to let you know that it is
Rubber Ducky's birthday
so you might want to call,
you know how the he gets
when you forget his birthday!...
It's my sister Patty's birthday as well,
and she thinks it is just "ducky" to share her day with him!
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTY! Here's to a person who has given me wonderful creative inspiration! To demonstrate her creative spirit she has THE MOST CUTEST STORE EVER! It is located in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She has just became the proprietor of this adorable little "storehouse" the summer of 2010. It has been a SUCCESS for her and what a wonderful business to have! If you are not able to see it in person, take a virtual tour. www.mjstorehouse.com/home

my STAR, STARRY NIGHT
This was my Star, starry night project...sometimes you have to CELEBRATE!the simplest things like, finding a tea towel the exact color as your kitchen. By using black paint, and a stencil you can turn a plain towel into a masterpeice that "GOGHS" with your theme!

GrEen ChaI TeA bath salts
Recipe for this little bit of heaven!
4 cups of epsom salts
(I used hand harvested mineral salts from Manitou Beach)
5 drops of green chai tea scent
3 drops of black pigment
1 drop red pigment
1 tbsp of glycerin
sugar cubes
In a bowl mix salts, scents, colors and glycerin mix until all colors make a solid color. For packaging I used a jar I had kicking around. Which then I pulled out my handy, dandy cricut and made a label "sweet n salty", when I put into the jar, I put sugar cubes and alternating layers with salts, just as the name says....
Attach the label with a wooden scoop, some raffia and ta da! first project of the new year completed!
PS The sugar cubes absorb the scent and are great for scrubbing those scratchity feet, while filling the tub put 2 scoops in and take out the cubes for a scrub and the salts make it devine to soak in!

TIME FOR CLEAN UP!
Its that time of the holidays when its bittersweet, the hussle and bustle are all done and the decorations that made the house beautiful need to find their way back to the garage! Its back into the routine and I will try not notice that the house looks so bare! So to keep my mind off the winding down I am onto the first project of the year, make some GREEN CHIA TEA bath salts and after a day of clean up a nice relaxing soak!
